WTQHA YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP FUND GUIDELINES 1) Must be an active member of WTQHA Youth organization.
-including organized youth events
-must qualify for a minimum of one WTQHA Year end award 2) Criteria for selection:
-Freshman year and/or last year of youth competition
-Preference given to academic performance:
-High school G P A
-Act scores
-Preference given to majors in animal science/agriculture majors
-Preference given to leadership skills
-A resume’ must be submitted with application indicating breed association, activities, extra-curricular activities in detail as well as a personal essay detailing why they should be selected 3) Application must be submitted no later than May 1st before the beginning of the academic Freshman year for consideration of the WTQHA Board of Directors. 4) Scholarship award number and value will depend upon available funds, and matched member donations. |
